Natural Dye SarongOur natural dye sarongare the product of our plant dying process which produces beautifully unpredictable colour. This is not seen as a flaw but an intrinsic part of our fabric. Vidurangi and Dimuthu scoured the area around our weaving centers and found a lot of discarded vegetable matter that could be used for making natural dyes. With great care, study and creativity, they produced these beautiful natural dyed Barefoot fabrics.Sustainable, nontoxic and biodegradable, our natural dyes are made from plant roots, flowers, leaves, fruit, fruit skins and discarded sawdust from wood mills. An organic binding agent fixes the dyes into the cotton yarn from which our hand woven fabrics are created. Each piece at Barefoot is unique and individually handmade.
