Kolam, the Tamil word for pattern.
Eight contemporary artists began Kolam Design Studio in Jaffna In 2017 February to create items that utilised their training as artists using age-old craft traditions and values the immanence possibilities of interconnected forms of knowledge which is inherent in the name Kolam. These natural dyed sarongs are one of the many beautiful creations from Kolam.
