Environment-friendly granular activated carbon is indispensable to many industries for it's benefits, applications and demonstrates phenomenal adsorption properties. Activated carbon granules has irregularly shaped particles with sizes varying between 0.2 mm and 5 mm.
What is activated carbon used for?:
Liquid phase applications need better adsorption kinetics as compared to pressure drop and hence granular sizes between 0.2 mm and 2 mm are considered the best
In applications where pressure drop happens to be more critical than adsorption kinetics, granular sizes between 2 mm and 5 mm are used
